When fitting to Sahara ZX & GR Sport Models, the electric dampening function of the OE shocks and struts will be disabled

  • The Lovells GVM upgrade for the Landcruiser 300 (LC300) series was released on the 17th March 2023.
  • Due to high demand the initial release and pre-release of this product is expected to completely sell out Australia wide
  • Stock orders are usually capped
  • Prior to COVID 19 GVM upgrades would generally take 4-6 weeks to receive from point of order. Since COVID 19 due to many world wide factors some GVM upgrades have taking substantially longer to receive from point of order.
  • We strongly recommend planning your upgrade well in advance.
  • If you are wishing to commit to the LC300 GVM upgrade we would recommend placing an order to ensure you recieve stock. All that is required is a $1,000 deposit which will secure you in the que in order of prefence.

• The Landcruiser 300 series Lovells GVM of 3560kg

• 3560KG COMFORT LC-35 series (VTA-061116)
  

  • The Lovells 3560KG GVM Upgrade & 7060KG GCM Upgrade is designed for vehicles that have no accessories fitted, carry light loads, but may run some occasional ball weight.
    • This is available pre-registration and post-registration (Queensland registered vehicles) for both GVM and GCM.
  • If you have a Lovells 3560kg GVM upgrade fitted you cannot increase your Braked Towing Capacity (BTC). In order to increase your BTC you would need to retro-fit a 3800KG or 4200KG GVM Upgrade.
  • A vehicle that already has a Lovells 3560kg GVM upgrade fitted uses different suspension to the Lovells 3800kg Touring & 4200kg Platinum GVM upgrade. If you currently have a Lovells 3560kg GVM upgrade you can retrofit this to a Lovells 3800kg or 4200kg GVM upgrade
  • The Lovells 3560kg GVM shock absorbers struts and shock absorbers feature a 3 year / 70,000km warranty.

• 3800KG TOURING LT-38 series (VTA-061116)

  • The Lovells 3800KG GVM Upgrade & 7300KG GCM Upgrade is designed for vehicles that have some accessories fitted such as winch / bullbar / dual battery/ rear drawers, but may also run some occasional ball weight.
    • This is available pre-registration and post-registration (Queensland registered vehicles) for both GVM and GCM.
  • If you have a Lovells 3800kg GVM upgrade fitted you are also eligible to increase your Braked Towing Capacity (BTC) to 4000kg & GCM to 7800kg
    • This is available pre-registration and post-registration (Queensland registered vehicles) for GVM, BTC and GCM.
  • The Lovells 3800kg GVM shock absorbers struts and shock absorbers feature a 3 year / 70,000km warranty.

• The Landcruiser 300 series Lovells GVM of 4200kg

• 4200KG PLATINUM LP-42 series (VTA-061116)

  • The Lovels 4200KG GVM Upgrade & 7700KG GCM Upgrade kit is not yet released due to parts availability, with an estimated release date of June 2023.
  • The Lovells 4200KG GVM Upgrade & 7700KG GCM Upgrade is designed for vehicles that are heavily accessorised and carry constant heavy loads in the rear such as winch / bullbar / dual battery/ rear drawers, cargo barrier, long range fuel tank, rear wheel carrier, but may also run some occasional ball weight.
    • This is available pre-registration and post-registration (Queensland registered vehicles) for both GVM and GCM.
  • If you have a Lovells 4200kg Remote Reservoir Platinum GVM upgrade fitted you are also eligible to increase your Braked Towing Capacity (BTC) to 4000kg & GCM to 7800kg
    • This is available pre-registration and post-registration (Queensland registered vehicles) for GVM, BTC and GCM.
  • The Lovells 4200kg Platinum Remote Reservoir series GVM shock absorbers feature threaded height adjustable struts and 4 year / 100,000km warranty.

• The Landcruiser 300 series Lovells Braked Towing Capacity (BTC) of 4000kg

  • The Lovels 4000KG BTC upgrade kit is not yet released as it is still currently in development, with an estimated release date of late 2023.
  • You must have a Lovells GVM upgrade of either 3800kg or 4200kg to be eligible for the BTC upgrade
  • If you have a Lovells 3560kg GVM upgrade you cannot perform the BTC upgrade without retro-fitting the 3560kg GVM to 3800kg or 4200kg.

  • The GVM capacities for the Landcruiser 300 series FJA300 as as follows

    • LC300 3560KG GVM

    • LC300 3800KG GVM

  • The shock absorbers for the Landcruiser 300 series (LC300) 3.3L V6 twin turbo diesel are as follows

    • 3560KG & 3800KG GVM upgrade - Landcruiser 300 series - Twin Tube

    • 4200KG GVM upgrade - Landcruiser 300 series - Platinum Remote Reservoir

  • The Landcruiser 300 series GVM upgrade will have recommended fitment of modified Upper Control Arms (UCA).

  • If you have a Lovells 3800kg or 4200kg GVM upgrade fitted you are eligible to increase your Braked Towing Capacity (BTC) to an estimated capacity of 4000kg

  • The LC300 GVM upgrade & GCM upgrade is available pre-registration now

  • The LC300 GVM upgrade & GCM upgrade will be available post-registration (Queensland registered vehicles) at an estimated date of June 2023

  • The LC300 BTC upgrade & GCM upgrade will be available pre-registration and post-registration (Queensland registered vehicles). The release date for BTC & GCM pre-rego and post-rego upgrades is estimated to be late 2023.

  • The Lovells Platinum series GVM shock absorbers feature threaded height adjustable struts and 4 year / 100,000km warranty. The Platinum series shock absorbers have been developed and utilised on armoured vehicles in both the Middle East and USA for over 8 years with great success.

  • LC300 series GVM upgrade for the GRS model may have a delayed release due to electronic damper design. It may also have reduced capacities.

  • Technical specifications

    • Bore diameter = 46 mm

    • Shaft diameter = 20mm

    • 8 Step Adjustable bump and rebound settings, via finned/aircooled reservoirs.

    • Material (Body): Steel grade STKM12B , ZINC IRIDESCENT+NANO ELECTRO DEPOSIT LACQUER (NEDL) COATING

    • Material (Reservoir): Blue anodized Aluminium Finned tube .

    • Complete with rear stone deflectors and custom mounting kits for reservoirs

    • Piston retainer nuts, mechanically peened to stop failure at high temperature.

    • Shafts are manufactured from tough 20mm hardened chrome micro alloy steel, precision engineered to withstand the harshest of environments, while reducing friction and wear.

    • Damping force is increased by up to 40% on the hardest/highest setting over other aftermarket dampers to control spring oscillation at maximum GVM

    • Piston rod seals are high quality, high temperature multi-lip design to again reduce friction and provide longer life.

 

 

 

IS IT TRUE? CAN THE BRAKED TOWING CAPACITY BE UPGRADED ON A 300 SERIES?

Yes this will be the case, and the Braked Towing Capacity increase is set to be SSM approved. However the BTC upgrade is still under development. Not only can the GVM be increased on the Toyota Landcruiser 300 series, but the Braked Towing Capacity will also be able to be increased from 3500kg to 4000kg. • $1,000.00 deposit, if financed through vehicle package then a purchase order number from applicable Toyota dealership

Finer details

• Is old suspension to be disposed of? There is no resale value on OEM suspension and it cannot be used as spare parts as it will deem your upgrade as non-compliant until GVM certified parts are re-fitted.
• Is vehicle is having any front axle constant loads (i.e. bullbar or winch). If so, it is suggested to be fitted whilst we are carrying out the upgrade (or prior to). This is so the front spring platform height can be adjusted correctly. Altering the spring platform height at a later date can be costly.
• Provide in detail how you heard or found out about BAM Garage

After upgrade

• Upon insuring your new vehicle do make your insurance provider aware of the upgrade
• Suspension to be retensioned within 0,500km. (0.5 hour labour charge applies).

Finer details

• Is old suspension to be disposed of? There is no resale value on OEM suspension and it cannot be used as spare parts as it will deem your upgrade as non-compliant until GVM certified parts are re-fitted. If your old suspension has already been lifted but is more than 3 years old or 60,000km you likely will find it difficult to get a worthwhile resale
• Are there any future plans for additional front axle constant loads (i.e. bullbar or winch). It is suggested to be fitted whilst we are carrying out the upgrade (or prior to). This is so the front spring platform height can be adjusted correctly. Altering the spring platform height at a later date can be costly. This is not relevant if vehicle already has bullbar / winch, in which case answer not applicable.
• Does vehicle have airbags fitted to the rear axle? Depending on vehicle current ride height these may be too short & not re-usable. If yes, are we to replace, reuse or decomission?
  • If vehicle does not have a true 2 inch lift already fitted the airbags will be too short and not salvagable
  • Warning: if airbags are over 18months old they are not suggested to be re-used as the airbag will have moulded into shape with the old coil spring which can result in leakage. In some examples the airbags are impossible to remove from the old coil due to swelling. This applies to both light duty and heavy duty airbags. There is no warranty provided for leakage post-recycling as per these age suggestions.
  • Always check with your insurance company as some do not cover a vehicle at all that has bellows airbags fitted
• Provide in detail how you heard or found out about BAM Garage

After upgrade

• Change of particulars form to be lodged with state transport authority (provided by BAM Garage).
• Notify your insurance company of the upgrade. It should not affect your premium, under the rare condition that it does it may be worth looking at a different insurance provider.
• Suspension to be retensioned within 0,500km. (0.5 hour labour charge applies).
