BAM Garage has recently been made aware of inspectors from the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) inspecting customer vehicles where the GCM may have been revised.
The TMR and other regulatory bodies have created enormous amounts of ambiguity and confusion in relation to GCM modifications and compliance, particularly here in Queensland. The compliance requirements of GCM modifications remain unclear to us.
As a matter of priority, we are discussing the compliance matter with Lovells, TMR and our approved Engineers. Until clarification on compliance is received from TMR, BAM Garage will not be performing any further GCM revisions.
We expect to have a better understanding of the situation over the coming weeks and will provide further updates as information comes to hand.
